A fire pit is something that most people would appreciate having in their backyard. Gas fire pits are becoming more and more popular and range from very simple and streamlined to large and elegant, even very ornate. Some people are now using fire pits as the centerpiece of their whole outdoor set up and are therefore choosing the kinds of gas fire pit that are really very visually striking.

Whatever kind of fire pits interest you though there is one important step that some people forget to take before making the investment. That is to check local ordinances to make sure that an open fire of that nature is actually allowed in your neighborhood. Some communities have rather strict burning bans in place that might limit your use of a fire pit at all or just at certain times of the year. Usually a call to the local building office is all it takes and it is better to be safe than sorry!
