We all know the media is pretty biased and that citing the media as 100% fact is a rather silly assumption to make.  The bottom line is the people in charge of the major media outlets have great power to decide what information we are fed to believe.  One industry that repeatedly gets trounced by the media is the debt settlement industry.

 
For years this industry received a really bad reputation due to a handful of scammer companies that really did a number on consumers who trusted them.  However since then the FTC has stepped in and greatly cleaned up this industry restoring people’s faith in its ability to help them reach debt freedom. The unfortunate fact is that our big media outlets have not fully covered this issue the way it needs to be.
